Head of New Business - Music Platform

Quinn Campbell · Ho Chi Minh City · qpcamp@gmail.com

The JD asks for a leader who has started something before, sources decision data from user interviews, and knows how to laser focus on solving one painpoint. That's the work I've done - at Sky Mavis (Axie Infinity), at Voodoo, and as a founder. Below: each Amanotes requirement on the left, what I've shipped on the right. Plus, public source where they exist.

Built a product or business from zero to material revenue, either as a founder or as the first business lead inside a larger company.

How I match
  • QPC Games (Co-Founder & CEO). Built a crypto gaming product from zero to $2M+ monthly bet volume, 40% WoW growth, #1 app on Farcaster. Raised pre-seed (Orange DAO Fellowship + angels). Orange DAO pitch Wound down operationally after disproving unit economics and returned remaining capital - killing a product when the math doesn't work is part of the job.
"Insane numbers for @Qupaca777 on Ronin!"
    - Jihoz, co-founder of Sky Mavis & Ronin Network, quote-tweeting QPC's Season 2 results: 3,070,254 RON + 59 ETH cumulative bet volume. The biggest discovery: the "Jackpot Flywheel" - giving players free money generated more player spend downstream. Jihoz on X · Sep 9, 2025
  • Axie Infinity: Origins launch (VP of Growth). Led the launch and drove 600,000+ new accounts - the commercial proof that gave Sky Mavis the story it needed to close its fundraise immediately after the infamous Axie hack. Sky Mavis blog
Sky Mavis publicly tied the launch postponement to the security breach: "delayed by one week due to a security breach" - the same week our team was investigating and rebuilding trust. Origins shipped on April 7, 2022. Axie Infinity blog · Apr 1, 2022
  • Axie Infinity Lunacian Codes (VP of Growth). Built Axie's on-chain referral system from a blank page. Drove $1M+ in attributable revenue. Sky Mavis blog
Sky Mavis described it as "a first-of-its-kind web3 referral program that allows community members to participate in the value they help create when onboarding new players." Axie Infinity blog · Jun 2, 2022
  • Ronin Creator Program (VP of Growth). Built and ran web3 gaming's largest creator program - 2,500+ registered creators, 100+ pre-launch user interviews driving the design. Managed a team of three. Sky Mavis blog
  • Voodoo (Publishing Manager). Sourced studios; owned ideation through global launch and live ops. Hits include Fat Pusher (#6 US iOS, $5M+ revenue, 50M+ downloads) and Couples Yoga (#1 US iOS, 6M+ downloads).

Comfort with two-sided markets. You understand why supply and demand have to be solved together, and you've done it.

How I match
  • Two publisher roles (Voodoo, Sky Mavis) were two-sided by design - matching studios/creators (supply) with players/fans (demand). Neither side scales alone, and I've owned that balance through global launches in both seats.
  • Built Pixels' first in-game advertising product test - a brand-new two-sided market inside web3 gaming, matching advertisers with publishers. Pixels billboards on X
One ad drove 50+ new users on 237 clicks - a 21% conversion rate. The landowner earned $100 (≈33% annualized yield on their NFT land). Post reached 42.5K views, 1K likes, 804 reposts.
"Metrics like this tell me we're really onto something. This is how advertisers can fund P2E." Quinn on X · Aug 8, 2024

A real customer-discovery practice. You can describe your last 20 user interviews and what you changed because of them.

How I match
  • Axie Creator Program (100+ interviews). We went in assuming creators just want money. Interviews disproved it - creators care most about Access and Recognition (priority server slots, direct lines to studio staff, public credit). We redesigned the program around those pillars and it became the largest creator program in web3 gaming. Public corroboration
The Sky Mavis launch post lists "Recognition" and "Access" as the program's two named pillars - featured channels, monthly awards, verified badges, early product updates, custom creator codes, paid event hosting. The interview-driven redesign is in the public record. Axie Infinity blog · Jun 16, 2022
  • QPC (weekly player interviews). Two pivots came directly from talking to whales: (1) The thing they loved most was being able to stake into the house - they were the house, not us. We confirmed in data that staking correlated strongly with increased playtime, and players said they felt better about losing sessions because they were earning on the other side. We rebuilt GTM around acquiring "player stakers." (2) Players told us they did not actually want games on-chain - they preferred the UX of off-chain games and trusted us anyway. We pursued a hybrid (on-chain house, off-chain games), couldn't beat incumbents on UX, and that - together with broken unit economics - drove the wind-down decision.
  • Qupaca / k-ID Vietnam entry (current). 25+ interviews with VN publishers and regulators in the last 3 months shaped the GTM and surfaced the active VNG enterprise deal.

Fluency in the unit economics that matter: LTV, CAC, payback, cohort retention. You don't outsource these to finance.

How I match
  • Voodoo. Lived in CPI, D1/D7/D30 retention, and LTV daily - they were the kill/scale gates for every prototype.
  • Axie. Built the world's first web3 UA machine. Drove CPI to $0.17 against a downstream NFT-purchase-rate LTV proxy. Owned the payback model that justified paid spend.
  • QPC. Tracked weekly cohort net revenue, deposit→bet→withdraw conversion, and payback by channel. When the cohort math wouldn't bend, I called it.

Track record of recruiting senior people into ambiguous, early-stage work and keeping them.

How I match
  • Personally recruited senior operators out of Meta, Voodoo, Binance, and TronBet (the largest web3 casino in 2018) into earlier-stage roles at Axie and QPC.
  • Brand isn't doing the selling at this stage - I am. If I can't sell the vision to a senior hire across three conversations, I don't deserve the build.

You get more energy from making your team better than from being the smartest person in the room.

How I match
  • I only hire people who are sharper than me at the seat they're filling. Once they're in, my job is to unblock them ruthlessly - usually by deleting work rather than adding more - and keep them locked on the one thing that matters this month.
  • Counterweight: I stay deep in the weeds on the work itself. A founder who can't open the spreadsheet doesn't get to defend the strategy.

Have shipped in the creator economy, music tech, social, or live entertainment.

How I match
  • Creator economy: built and ran the largest creator program in web3 gaming (2,500+ creators).
  • Games / live entertainment: shipped 10+ live games across Voodoo and Sky Mavis, including 50M+ download titles.
  • Music tech: no direct shipping experience - but the discovery practice and two-sided market reps transfer, and I'll come up the curve fast.

Have led a P&L in Southeast Asia, especially Vietnam, Indonesia, or the Philippines.

How I match
  • Based in HCMC since 2021. Sky Mavis (VN HQ), QPC (VN-incorporated), and Qupaca (HCMC) all run/ran from here.
  • Axie's two largest player markets were the Philippines and Indonesia. I owned UA, creator, and partnerships lines across both during the 2022–23 cycle.
  • Direct Vietnam GTM experience now via Qupaca: active enterprise deal with VNG; gaming market intelligence delivered to Point72.
